About
OSP Krzykawa is one of the Volunteer Fire Department units operating in the country with a history dating back to 1925. On the occasion of the upcoming centenary of operation, I was asked to prepare a redesign of the coat of arms, which was a great honor due to my family's ties to the fire department.
The coat of arms design was based on characteristic elements connecting the unit with the region and their common history. The emblem was inscribed in the cross of St. Florian and the traditional shape of firefighter shields. Themes from previous versions and symbols referring to the local area such as oak leaves, roses with six petals or battlements are included. The color scheme is based on firefighter red and forest green complemented by classic black and white.
